Condo/Co-op Attorney (7+ Years of Experience – NYC)
Offit Kurman, a growing Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an experienced Condo/Co-op Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join our expanding New York team.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of offering plans and advising condo and co-op boards on governance matters, including elections, fines, and amendments
- Assist with shareholder/unit owner misconduct, including proprietary lease terminations, alterations and eviction matters.
- Counsel clients on governance, alterations, late fees, arrears, common element purchases, sponsor disputes and air rights.
- Manage litigation related to foreclosures, eviction proceedings, and board disputes.
- Guide clients on trust/LLC ownership agreements and related structuring matters.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in condo/co-op law, real estate, or related practice.
- Admission to practice in New York and significant experience handling NYC-specific condo/co-op matters.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
